Karate will be at its second Canada Games in 2027, as it made its first appearance in the 2023 Games program in PEI.

An ancient discipline with brand new roots in the Olympic movement, karate makes its Olympic debut at the 2020 Summer Olympics. Karate has however been featured on the Pan American Games program since 1995.
