Two Years to the 2027 Canada Games: Here Are the Competition Venues

Exactly two years before the start of the 2027 Canada Winter Games, the Host Society has officially announced the competition venues during a press conference. This marks a major milestone in the preparation of an event of this scale!

The Government of Quebec Announces an $11.1M Investment
Isabelle Charest, Minister Responsible for Sports, Recreation and the Outdoors, has announced a financial contribution of $11.1M. This investment will be used to upgrade sports infrastructures to meet competition standards ($3M) ans support the organization of the event ($8.1M).

Note: The venue for Cross-Country Skiing and Para-Nordic Skiing is still under review in collaboration with local clubs and ski federations. It will be announced as soon as possible.

A Lasting Legacy for the Region

The Canada Games will create a lasting legacy. Notable investments include the new multifunctional curling centre and upgrades to several existing facilities to meet sport specific standards. These improvements will benefit not only the Games, but also local sports clubs and the hosting of other high caliber events in the future.

From an economic perspective, the Games are expected to generate over $100M in benefits for the Quebec City region, supporting tourism, accommodation, sports infrastructure, and employment.
